Hello everyone! It has been an unusual spring for us here in Sedona AZ. We have had a lot of cloudy weather and lots of rain in January and February, which will undoubtedly bring us a rainbow of color in wild flowers which have not been seen in a few years.
Rain is a tough subject in Sedona. The tourists feel it ruins a planned vacation, the locals, well we go out and do the cranberry dance of joy!! We love the rain and the thunderstorms here. In a state where so many aquafirs are dried up, and there is so little water in our creeks, we’ll take every drop to be had. In the Red Rocks it can be very beautiful. You have the opportunity to see waterfalls shooting off some of the formations, and the wetness of the rocks certainly does change the color of rocks. But water gives forth life, it nurtures and blesses the land we live in to help it grow and become beautiful. So the next time you visit Sedona and it rains, don’t give into the idea that it is ruining your vacation, give in to the idea that you are a part of something special. You were here when the land was being nurtured, and so will you!!
